Toon Weekly challenged us to come up with a new gremlin design. I carefully considered how to best draw one that fully communicated the frustration of having our internet suddenly stop working even though everything is plugged into what it should be and all the lights are lit up where they should be lighted up and the only recourse to fixing the damnable, internets-free state of failed connections and swirling beach balls is to unplug ever dang thang and hope it works once it’s all lit back up again 30 seconds later. After considering all this, I hurried through yet another weak attempt, but again, I ask you, “what do you want for nothing, ingrate??” Behold, my Linksys™ gremlin:

Design a new Sith challenge
After sitting last week out, I opted to try another Toon Weekly challenge this week. Said challenge consisted of designing a “Sith” and anyone familiar with the Star Wars universe should have a rough idea what that is (think Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Darth Sidious, Darth Tyrannus…..) so here is my entry:

Sitcom Cartoon
This week’s ToonWeekly challenge was to design a cartoon for a sitcom. It was inspired by the ridiculous 70s cartoon of Happy Day’s the Fonz and his adventures in space or some such typically dopey idea (at least he didn’t have a band) and we were supposed to do something similar to another sitcom.
I forgot about the “crazy” part of it and just did the re-imagining part. I chose a 70s show, but a British one, John Cleese’s classic, Fawlty Towers. Here it is redesigned for Hanna-Barbera:
